Competition

All competitions and practices are mandatory.

The Season

Competitions run from November through March. Black competes in roughly 5 events; Gold competes in 8–10. We travel to locations across central PA including Central Dauphin, Cumberland Valley, The Miller Center, Milton, Spooky Nook, Kalahari, Williamsport, and our own Southern Columbia Shamrock Showcase.

Competition Day

Athletes arrive as a team, go through a structured warm-up, and take the mat. After all teams perform, placements are announced at an awards ceremony. Many events also offer optional jump-offs and tumble-offs for athletes who want to showcase individual skills.

Fees

Most competitions charge around $20 per event. We also attend one or two larger events per year where registration runs $70–$80. All competition fees are included in the seasonal cost breakdown once the schedule is made.
